Welcome to Episode 51 of the Voices to Veterans podcast. This episode features the story of Lieutenant Commander Joe Dwigans, U.S. Navy (Retired).

Joe flew Helldiver dive bombers at the end of World War II and continued afterwards flying all sorts of naval aircraft. His story is particularly interesting because it describes the unique training pipeline the Navy put its pilots through to prepare them for the War in the Pacific.

Sadly, Joe passed away on November 28, 2023. He was 102 years old.
