Welcome to Episode 40 of the Voices to Veterans podcast. This episode features the story of Command Chief Master Sergeant Dave Himmer, U.S. Air Force (Retired).

Dave led a long and illustrious military career, beginning with his tour as a combat infantry soldier in Vietnam. He later served in the Marine Corps and the Minnesota Air National Guard, from which he retired in 2005. Dave’s story is particularly important because you’ll learn why he served, what the life of a combat soldier in Vietnam was like, and what a lifetime of military service entails.
