Episode 15 – Staff Sergeant Samuel D. High, U.S. Army
Welcome to Episode 15 of the Voices to Veterans podcast. This episode features the story of Staff Sergeant Samuel D. High, U.S. Army.
Sam joined the Army Reserve after graduating from North Little Rock High School because he saw storm clouds on the horizon in Southeast Asia and wanted to do his part. After his unit was called up for active duty in 1968, Sam and approximately 100 other men departed for far off Vietnam. Sam split his time between Da Nang and Chu Lai, finally returning home in August 1969. Once back in Arkansas, Sam continued his lifelong commitment to serving veterans and his community. You can’t help but be inspired when you listen to Sam’s story.
