As a PEO friend of Iris, and Sharon, I wanted to thank you for this article! Iris was one in a million. Your article brought out her spunky, positive personality as well as beautifully documenting her amazing service. I look forward to the day after the Corona virus pandemic is over when we get our chapter together with our B.I.L.s and toast to Iris. I don’t believe she drank alcohol, but she would be happy if we got together in her honor.

Thanks Suzi – Iris will always be a wonderful role model, both as a trailblazer and a U.S. Marine.

Although I have retired from the US Marine Corps, this article was an eye opener. It had never occurred to me that women had those types of careers opened to them.
