En Route To Vietnam to Research and Write
Welcome to the inaugural post in what I hope will eventually become a dialogue between you and me on my writing, my characters, and my style. Feedback is critical to an author. In fact, I’ve found we are generally an insecure lot, never trusting our own judgment about what we have written. We need your feedback to tell us what works and what doesn’t, what you like and what you don’t like, and maybe even the direction you would like us to head.
In fact, today I am heading in a new direction – to Vietnam! That’s because the sequel to The Siegel Dispositions will have a connection to Vietnam. Since I have never been to Vietnam before, the only way I could fully understand and develop the connection was to see Vietnam, and more importantly, its people, for myself. My hope is to capture the essence of the connection and write while I am in country so you can get an accurate portrayal of Vietnam without having to visit. Or, maybe it will entice you to visit someday on your own.
If you like international travel, legal intrigue and suspense, then I recommend you to try The Siegel Dispositions on for size and to follow my blog as I explore the writing process. I may even offer some insights into my favorite authors and my motivation for writing. Most of all, though, I encourage you to provide your thoughts and feedback, so we can being this literary journey together!
